The first videos of the endangered Long-eared Jerboa found in the Gobi Desert of China and Mongolia have been released. Researchers have nicknamed the Jerboa the "Mickey Mouse of the desert." In an interview with CNN, Jonathan Baillie of the Zoological Society of London expressed concern for the future of the Jerboa. According to Baillie, the Jerboa is threatened by illegal mining, agriculture and cats that can kill up to 20 Jerboas a night. Researchers believe Jerboas live up to 3 years. Jerboas are around 4 inches long, and have the ability to jump up to 6 feet in the air to capture insects.
